a problem with email notification

hi im having a problem with the email notification, every time i set my email and click save the form comes up again without the email and i dont get notified when ever a file is uploaded

Mine doesn't work too. Please have a look! It doesn't even go into junk mail, unlike the demo hosted on this site which at least appeared in junk mail.

Make sure you have '/usr/sbin/sendmail' file which is default for 'sendmail_path' option in config.
And set up 'confirm_email_from' field in config.

Did both.

I used phpfnfo to double check the existance of /usr/sbin/sendmail, notice that the server used the -t -i flags, tried using them as well and still didn't work.
